From the moment you settle in, the aroma of fresh herbs, simmering curries, and sizzling stir-fries whets your appetite. Their menu is a treasure trove of classic Thai favorites and regional specialties. Don’t miss the silky Green Curry, bursting with fragrant coconut milk and fresh green herbs, or the rich Panang Curry salmon, which offers a satisfying balance of creamy heat and tender seafood. The Pad Thai and Pad See-Ew epitomize comfort food with perfectly chewy noodles, savory sauces, and fresh vegetables, transporting you straight to a bustling street market in Bangkok.

Those seeking a lighter start can’t go wrong with their crispy Spring Rolls or the ThaiThai Calamari — lightly battered baby squid tossed with fragrant garlic. The Chicken Satay with peanut sauce pairs beautifully for those who appreciate a smoky, nutty touch.
Beyond the main courses, Thai Thai Restaurant shines in its attention to detail. The menu's flexibility allows some spicy dishes to be adjusted for milder palates while maintaining layered flavors. The sweet finale options — like Mango & Sweet Coconut Rice (seasonal) or the unique RomMit ice cream blending corn, pandan, and young coconut — offer a wonderful cool-down after a flavorful meal.
Dining here feels refreshingly authentic, enhanced by thoughtful touches such as spice bottles on the table — a nod to enjoying your meal exactly to your preferred kick of heat. The welcoming staff’s friendliness and attentiveness create an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just a diner. Yes, the quirk of walking through the airport door to use the restroom might surprise first-time visitors, but it adds a memorable, local charm to the experience.
Regulars and visitors alike rave about the hearty portions, fantastic flavors, and the restaurant’s location near the airport, making it a worthwhile detour from the main strip. Whether you’re craving the savory Crispy Pork Belly with Chinese Broccoli, the exotically spiced Tom Yum Chicken, or something comforting like Crab Fried Rice, Thai Thai Restaurant consistently delivers meals full of warmth, authenticity, and satisfying texture.
In essence, Thai Thai Restaurant is not just a place to eat — it’s a gateway to the rich and diverse tapestry of Thai cuisine, skillfully prepared and lovingly served. For anyone passing through Bishop or locals looking to escape the ordinary, this restaurant promises a genuine culinary journey and a sincere taste of Thailand’s vibrant food culture.
We were in town for a few days experiencing Bishop. This Thai restaurant absolutely embraced our plan to have a vacation home in ship! I’ve been in Thailand 4 times and I can verify this is legit good! Love their spice bottles on the side. We can definitely go back if we are in town! Fun part: if you need to use the bathroom, you literally have to walk through the door to the airport lol, but it’s convenient
Area resident who has dined at Thai Thai about 10 times in the past 3 years. Food is very tasty, but service is sometimes a bit lacking, like yesterday when the server forgot to put in 1 of our 4 people’s order so she had to wait an extra 10 min. Also it’d be great if the sign about “10% off for United airline passengers” was posted in the restaurant as well as the passenger terminal side of the building. It’s fun to watch the aircraft out the windows of the restaurant.
Worth the extra five minute drive off of the main strip. Super yummy! Great flavors and very sizable portions.
Located at the Bishop Airport, it is a bit off the main highway, but worth the side trip. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They offer a variety of dishes, not only Thai. The portions are hearty and the dishes we tried were flavorful. The Drunken Noodles with chicken and the Drunken Noodles with beef were the favorite of the table. The fried rice was also very good with a serving large enough to share. The prices were a little on the high side, but it was worth it in portion size. There were five of us dining together and our meals came out staggered. The first two were halfway through their meal when the last two received theirs. It wasn't a huge problem for us, but others may be bothered by the staggered delivery for larger parties if this is the norm. We will definitely come again when traveling to Bishop.
On the edge of the town. Next to the airport. I arrived after sunset, I imagine view will be great if you arrive at sunset, the whole mountain range will be bathed in the color of the sunset in front of you I ordered Soft shell crap curry with rice. Really tasty, and size is good This meal has become another memory of mine of stumbling on great authentic and comfy Asian food, on an exploratory road trip, in the most unexpected places. Last time it was a ramen restaurant in a remote Colorado village.
Best Thai food in the Eastern Sierra! This is our regular go-to for my family. They also do takeout. Their curries are outstanding. The Jungle Curry is my favorite, as it is unique and very spicy.
